  1. I am running Yosemite and with this new version, my reported temperature went from 88 F to 264 F.

  2. Hello.

A word of warning – although 10.6 is still supported, I have a Mac Mini (2007) – not 64bit kernel capable. The application crashes on start-up – I have regressed to version 2.4; perhaps this warning could be added to the notes.

Otherwise, keep up the good work.

    Robin.

  3. I’m sure the changes under the hood are great, but SMC now reports that my CPU is running at 129˚C! It’s actually 43˚C. It’s reporting the rpm correctly.

  4. Since updating, my internal temperature is displaying at 264˚. I’ve rebooted, reinstalled, etc. No luck.

  5. Temperature shows 264 degrees F

downgrading to 2.4 brings the temp down to 106 degrees F

    running OS X 10.10, 24 inch iMac Mid 2007 (iMac7,1)

I have been running SMCFanControl on this machine for many years. I have never seen this problem before.

  6. This issue should be fixed in the 2.5.1 update: http://www.eidac.de/smcfancont....._2_5_1.zip

  7. I updated to recent macOS Sierra (ver. 10.12) and data of smcFanControl is not shown on the top menu bar with dark theme. I guess it is because black text on black background is not visible, when clicking on the area where temperature and fan speed must be, it becomes selected then it inverts text and it becomes visible, when unselected it is invisible again.

  8. Set the color explicitly to white in the smcfancontrol preferences. This is a workaround for the moment.
